A typical safety harness consists of a set of straps that go around the worker’s body, including the shoulders, chest, waist, and legs, designed to prevent or minimize injuries in the event of a fall by keeping the worker suspended in the air, rather than allowing them to hit the ground. The straps are typically made of nylon or polyester and are adjustable to fit a wide range of body sizes. The harness also includes a D-ring or other attachment point where a lanyard or lifeline can be connected.
