About One Stop Hire
When Steve & Danielle Hitchen created One Stop Hire in October 2009 the company consisted of seven Tool Hire depots based in the North West of England. Since then, the business has developed into a "Total Solutions Provider" for HIRE, SALES & TRAINING covering multiple product lines of equipment used in the Construction Industry. The depot network has spread to 25 centres giving us nationwide coverage with more planned in the coming years.

In 2020 we were awarded the EHN Passionate Hirer of the Year award which was a great tribute to our staff and has inspired us to go further. It is our aim to give every employee the opportunity to thrive & develop in our business. Promoting from within and developing talent through apprenticeships is a key part of our strategy.

One Stop Hire is committed to charity & supporting local community projects.
In 2010 Steve & Danielle became patrons of Wigan Youth Zone, part of the Onside charitable network. Steve was Enterprise Ambassador there for 3 years & took a group of 13 & 14 year olds through to the national semi-finals of the prestigious Young Enterprise organisation that runs through high schools throughout the UK. As Onside grew they expanded into Chorley, where One Stop Hire is based & where Steve & Danielle were brought up. They became founder patrons & have been involved since the first spade went into the ground on the project in 2017.
A lot of staff in One Stop Hire have sporting backgrounds & are involved with grass roots sport. We support this with the sponsorship of local youth football teams such as:
On the golf course we support many of our clients who raise money for their nominated charities by attending & contributing to their golf day events. In June 2022 one of our very original customers, Seddon Construction Group, celebrated their 125th anniversary & set out to raise £1m for the Christie Cancer Charity. One Stop Hire put on a huge national 5-a-side football event & took over the whole of Darwen FC for the day — 32 teams competed from our customer, supplier & depot network & raised £10k on the day.

Safety
One Stop Hire Ltd makes SAFETY the number one priority in order to keep our employees, customers & the public safe from injury & harm. We are active members of Construction Safety Groups such as Working Well Together & NWCSG, & we work on committees within the HAE which review best practices & safety issues in our sector.

We have always believed that having the latest tech creates efficiencies & gives us the ability to give a better service.
In 2011 we invested in the Higher Concept Syrinx hire software system, which we felt was by far the best product on the market for our sector. Since launching it we have continuously worked with the Higher Concept team to develop bespoke programs & to keep investing in all their latest innovative upgrades.
Central Hire Desk Facility — based at our Head Office, our Central Hire Desk is available to clients who wish to deal with a single point of contact. Simply place an order with the team here in Chorley & whatever the equipment is & wherever the location is, they will source it for you.
