Eight Years of Impact: One Stop Hire’s Ongoing Support for Inspire Youth Zone

For the past eight years, One Stop Hire has proudly supported Inspire Youth Zone as its first ever Gold Patron, helping create opportunities and brighter futures for thousands of young people across Chorley and the surrounding communities.

What began as a partnership has grown into a long term commitment to supporting young people, investing in the local community, and helping ensure every young person has access to opportunities, guidance, and support regardless of their background or circumstances.

Since becoming a patron before the building had even opened, One Stop Hire has remained committed to supporting the incredible work Inspire delivers every single day.

Inspire Youth Zone provides young people aged 7 – 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, with access to a safe environment, trusted adults, and opportunities designed to help them build confidence, resilience, and positive futures. From employability support and mentoring to sports, wellbeing services, and creative activities, Inspire continues to play a vital role within the local community.

At a time when many young people are facing increasing challenges surrounding mental health, poverty, and access to opportunity, the work Inspire delivers has never been more important. Over the last year alone, the charity delivered more than 61,000 engagements, supported 3,404 individual young people, and provided over 13,500 free meals to young people and families who needed them most.

Behind every number is a real impact within the community, whether that’s a young person gaining confidence, accessing support, building friendships, or simply having somewhere safe and positive to go.

Over the course of the partnership, One Stop Hire has donated more than £200,000 to Inspire Youth Zone, with a further two years of support already committed. By the organisation’s 10th anniversary as a patron, that contribution will reach an incredible £250,000 invested directly into supporting local young people and strengthening the wider community.

Steve Hitchen, CEO at One Stop Hire, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside Inspire Youth Zone and support the life-changing work they continue to deliver across the local community.

This partnership has always been about more than funding a building. It’s about investing in young people, creating opportunities, and helping provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can thrive.

The impact Inspire has on young people and families across the region is genuinely inspiring, and we’re proud to continue supporting an organisation that makes such a meaningful difference every single day.”

Every visit to Inspire costs around £25 to deliver, while young people pay just 50p per session, or nothing at all if cost is ever a barrier. Partnerships like this help ensure that no young person is excluded from opportunities, support, or a safe place to belong.

Janine Blythe, CEO at Inspire Youth Zone, added:

“Steve, Danni and the team at One Stop Hire are more than just Patrons, they are part of the Inspire family. Signing up as Patrons before the building was even built, their belief in young people and the future generation has never wavered.

More than just an annual donation, they have shown up time and time again, showing young people from all walks of life that there is a bright future ahead of them and that local businesses are here to help them get there.

Quite simply, we wouldn’t exist without the support of organisations like One Stop Hire and we’ll never stop being grateful for the belief and commitment they continue to show our young people and community.”

We’re incredibly proud to continue supporting Inspire Youth Zone and the positive impact they continue to make for young people, families, and the wider community.
