To achieve Net Zero, our journey is quite clear.
By 2025
All out company car fleet will have moved from hybrid to all electric.
By 2030
We are working towards running all our delivery fleet on HVO or electric battery power which will reduce our carbon output by 89%.
The use of diesel and petrol in vehicles is the biggest element of our carbon production as a business. By eliminating this we lower our overall carbon footprint by 85%.
So what have we done so far?
- We now only supply HVO in all of our diesel powered equipment when it goes out on hire and have been using HVO fuel for a whole year!
- We are looking at and working with our supply chain to replace petrol and diesel powered equipment with battery power such as the Hilti Nuron range.
- We have joined the HAE Net Zero working group to share best practice and collaborate with all the major tool and equipment hire companies in the UK to ensure our industry is at the cutting edge of green innovation for serving our sectors.
- We have appointed Elemental Consulting & Apollo Energy Services to measure, audit and guide us through the process to achieve Net Zero and assist us in achieving ISO14001 certification.
- Our electric vehicle capacity has been reached.
- We’ve achieved 70% reduction in paper us in offices.
- We’ve ensured that our product guide has listed ‘Eco Tagged’ products.
