National Total Solutions Provider for Tool & Equipment. Where the answer is always "YES"

Last update: 25/08/2026 – 16:24

Introduction

This narrative accompanied the One Stop Hire Gender Pay Gap report for 1st April 2024 – 31st March 2025 with the snapshot data recorded on 5th April 2025.

Executive Summary

One Stop Hire specialises in tool & equipment hire, and also has a Lifting and Training Division.  Headquarters are in Chorley, East Lancashire with 20 Depots across the UK.

OSH employed 259 colleagues on 5th April 2025 – 221 were male and 38 were female.

Gender pay gap is a measurement of the difference in pay between the average and median pay of men compared to the average and median pay of women.

Our report is overwhelmingly positive news, and we are delighted to share that in every category our female colleagues are paid on average equal to, or more than, our male colleagues both in terms of pay and bonus.

A significant factor that has an impact on this is due to contractual work hours – our female colleagues are mainly employed in Head office roles and work less hours than the majority of our male colleagues who work longer hours in our Depot network.

Conclusion

One Stop Hire remains committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion at all levels at One Stop Hire,  including pay equity.
